Whether you’re an avid reader or simply enjoy a good discussion, The Lion Book Club is a friendly and informal group that meets on the third Thursday of each month in the snug. There are two sessions to choose from, 1.00pm–2.00pm or 6.30pm–7.30pm. You’re welcome to come to whichever session suits you best.
New faces are always welcome, whether you’ve read the book cover to cover, only managed a few chapters, or simply fancy joining the conversation over a drink.
What we are reading
19 November – The Rose Code by Kate Quinn. A compelling historical novel set at Bletchley Park during the Second World War, following three female codebreakers whose friendship is tested by secrets, betrayal and courage.
Coming Up
- 9 December – Christmas Book Club Supper. Instead of our usual book discussion, we’ll be celebrating the festive season with our annual Book Club Christmas Supper on Wednesday 9th December from 7.00pm. (Please note change of date).
