Food at The Lion
Our talented chefs create seasonal menus that change regularly to make the most of fresh, locally sourced ingredients, alongside pub favourites and tempting specials. Our popular Thursday Steak Nights are a weekly favourite.
To round off the week, settle in for a leisurely Sunday lunch, with traditional roasts and seasonal dishes on the menu.
We’re close to the Wellcome Genome Campus at Hinxton and within easy reach of Saffron Walden and IWM Duxford, making The Lion a welcoming spot for lunch with colleagues, a get-together with friends or a well-earned break while walking or cycling through the local area.
We recommend booking, especially at busy times, but if you decide to join us on the spur of the moment, you’re always welcome and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.
The kitchen team take a break on Mondays and Tuesdays, but there’s still plenty to eat at The Lion, with regular pop-ups and visiting food trucks. See what’s coming up.
