Join Our Free Art & Craft Sessions this August!
Looking for a creative way to spend time this August? Our friendly art and craft sessions are designed to be sociable, relaxed group activities where everyone is welcome – whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced maker.
For Adults & Children
Embroidery on Card – Gill Laird
Tuesdays 10-12am – August 4th, 11th, 18th and 25th.
Learn embroidery stitches – sewing pictures and/or bookmarks – cross stitch pictures – using running stitch. All materials provided.
age 6 and up (children to be accompanied by a responsible adult).

Children’s Garden Craft activity – Penny Burrows & Fiona Rose
Children aged 4-10 (to be accompanied by a responsible adult)
Sunday 16th August 2-4pm including biscuits and squash.
• Make a model insect or animal from natural materials such as vegetables, twigs, and pinecones. We will supply some natural materials but you are also welcome to bring materials from home.
• Help plant up the two raised herb and flower beds in the soon to be opened children’s play garden – (please bring a trowel if you have one). Learn about bees and pollinators!
• Create a mini garden in a seed tray – all materials supplied

Introduction to Sketching – Chrissie Wild
Tuesdays 7-8pm – August 4th, 11th, 18th and 25th.
(This activity will continue to run in September if there is sufficient demand.)
All materials provided, but please bring your own sketch book and drawing pencils if you already have them.

Explore the materials contained in our art box (includes watercolour, gouache, ink, oil pastels). All materials provided but please bring your own paintbrushes if you have them.
