Bank Holiday at The Lion
We May Have Got a Little Carried Away…
Why settle for one Bank Holiday event when you can have three? We’ve filled the weekend with bow ties, family fun and a trip down the rabbit hole. Sensible? Perhaps not. Fun? Absolutely.
Friday 28th – Bow Tie Dinner
Apparently National Bow Tie Day is a thing. So naturally, we’re having dinner. Our special menu is pre-book & pre-order only, with a delicious choice of starters, Wellingtons and desserts.

2 Courses £32 | 3 Courses £38
And there’s a prize up for grabs! Just wear a bow tie, bow in your hair, bow on your jacket… however you wear yours, you’ll automatically be entered into the prize draw.
Sunday 30th – Family Fun Day | 12–6pm
Bring the kids. We’ll provide the entertainment to keep them smiling while you get down to the serious business of enjoying David’s Sunday roast, our guest ales and a great glass (or bottle) of wine.
Monday 31st – Mad Hatter’s Tea Party | 2–4pm
By Monday, we’ll have completely lost the plot.
We’re heading down the rabbit hole for a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party with delicious food, unlimited drinks, Wonderland fun and, naturally, a competition for the best hat.
Adults £40 | Adults (No Alcohol) £20 | Kids £15
The bigger, madder and more ridiculous the hat, the better.
Places are limited, so don’t be late for this very important date!
Three Days. Three Events.
All you need to do is decide which ones you’re coming to. (We vote all three!)
