A Grant for the Garden!
We are delighted to share the great news that we have secured funding from the National Garden Scheme to create a small children’s play garden. This will include a play kitchen, outdoor chalkboard, a wooden climb-on train, and a relaxed space for families to spend time together. There will also be a bug hotel (made by children from the village) and RSPB-approved bird boxes to encourage local wildlife.
A huge thank you to Fiona for all her hard work in preparing the application, and congratulations on securing the funding.
We’d also like to thank our brilliant garden team for their energy, creativity and ideas in helping shape the space. They’ve been hard at work again this weekend – and it’s looking amazing!

If you are planning to divide plants this spring, we’d love a few more! We’d especially like the following:
- Hostas
- Asters
- Sedum
- Heuchera
- Pink, white or blue varieties of: Agapanthus, Hardy Geraniums, Japanese Anemone & Echinacea.
These can be dropped off on a Saturday morning to the pub garden or collection can be arranged. Thank you!
