Welcome to The Lion – a community owned pub on the Cambridgeshire–Essex border. We serve delicious food, proper pints, and a warm, friendly atmosphere.
Our autumn menu is packed with seasonal flavours – and with Christmas around the corner, we’re now taking bookings for our festive menu – perfect for a meal with family, friends or colleagues.
Set on the ancient Icknield Way and National Cycle Route 11, we’re the ideal stop for walkers, cyclists, and travellers, with a beautiful garden, pétanque pitch, and a warm welcome for dogs on leads.

Fancy our Festive Menu? It’s available by pre-booking only, so just give us a call or drop us an email to let us know you’d like the festive menu when you book. All dishes are made especially for your visit, so we ask for 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel.
