We are Cambridgeshire Pub of the Year!
We’re absolutely thrilled to share that we’ve been named Cambridgeshire Pub of the Year at the National Pub And Bar Awards 2026.
Less than a year since reopening as a community owned free house, this is a huge moment for us. It’s a testament to the love, hard work and sheer determination that has gone into saving The Lion and bringing it back to life.
There are too many people to thank individually, but you all know who you are. Thank you. We genuinely couldn’t have done this without you.
This award isn’t just for the hard work that went into renovating the building, or the fabulous food, or the friendly service or even the great beer we source from a range of fantastic local breweries. It’s also for all of you who showed up, chipped in, fundraised, volunteered, shared posts, planted pots, or simply bought a pint and cheered us on.
The Lion has always been so much more than a pub to us and it’s completely wonderful that other people think the same way too.
