Our first Lion Café was a roaring success!

What better way to spend a rainy Friday morning than with delicious coffee and cakes in great company? The lattes and cappuccinos went down a treat and the delicious cakes and pastries meant no one went home hungry!  Huge thanks Arron from Ninth Coffee Roasters for patiently training us all and to Apple & Roy for being brilliant baristas!

Our volunteers were absolutely superb – thank you for being brave enough to take on our first trial session and for all your suggestions to help things run even more smoothly next time. And of course, a big thank you to everyone who came along to support us – it was wonderful to see so many of you.

We’ll be back on Friday 26th September for our next café morning, when we’ll be supporting the Macmillan Coffee Morning by donating a proportion of our sales to this very worthwhile cause.
