Ickleton Unwrapped!

On Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 November, Ickleton Unwrapped brings together the village’s venues and community groups for a weekend celebrating local talent, creativity, food and produce.

Organised jointly by The Lion, Ickleton Social Club and St Mary Magdalene Church, it’s the first event in this year’s Advent in Ickleton programme, with activities and attractions across four village venues.

At The Lion, you can enjoy mulled wine, seasonal food and an outdoor food market packed with delicious treats and ideas for Christmas gifts.

There will be festive food served from 12-6pm on Saturday – if you’ve found yourself a cosy corner, then stay into the evening for our usual menu, or return on Sunday for one of our delicious traditional roasts. With a cosy pub, a warming fire and twinkling lights, it will be the perfect place to meet friends and enjoy good food.

There’s plenty more to explore around the village too.

The Village Hall will host a fabulaous craft market featuring handmade gifts, decorations, jewellery and goodies from local makers.

At Ickleton Social Club, discover more than 140 works of art by local artists, meet and chat with local authors, take a break at Trevor’s Café and celebrate the launch of the Ickleton Jotters’ first anthology on Saturday afternoon at 4pm.

At St Mary Magdalene Church, marvel at the nationally significant wall paintings, enjoy free Fresco Fun activities and a workshop with a professional conservator, or book a place to make a lino-printed Christmas card. On Sunday, you can even make your own mini Christmas pudding!
