Whether you’re an avid reader or simply enjoy a good discussion, The Lion Book Club is a friendly and informal group that meets on the third Thursday of each month in the snug.
There are two sessions to choose from, 1.00pm–2.00pm or 6.30pm–7.30pm.
You’re welcome to come to whichever session suits you best.New faces are always welcome, whether you’ve read the book cover to cover, only managed a few chapters, or simply fancy joining the conversation over a drink.
On 19 November we will be discussing The Rose Code by Kate Quinn.
A compelling historical novel set at Bletchley Park during the Second World War, following three female codebreakers whose friendship is tested by secrets, betrayal and courage
Help us choose our 2027 reading list!
We’re already collecting ideas for next year’s books! If there’s a novel you’ve loved and think the group would enjoy, we’d love to hear your recommendation. All suggestions will be entered into our Book Club Box, with the 2027 reading list drawn at our Christmas Supper in December.
