Bank Holiday Fun at The Lion!

If the forecast is right, we’re about to enjoy the kind of Bank Holiday weather Britain usually only dreams about – and we are ready to make the most of it!

With theatre, live music, local events, great food, craft beer and plenty happening across the village, it’s going to be a great weekend! Our glorious garden is the perfect place to soak it all up; the cellar is stocked, our fridges are full and we can’t wait to welcome you.

     Friday 22nd May
There are still a few tickets left for Corkscrew Theatre’s Production of ‘Goldfish Girl’ and ’13A, 13B’ at Ickleton Village Hall. We are now fully booked for pre-theatre dining, but our bar is open all day so do drop in before and after the performance for drinks. Or if theatre isn’t your thing, stay with us instead and enjoy good food, great drinks, and a relaxed evening at the pub.

    Saturday  23rd May

Open all day for cold drinks, guest ales, relaxed lunches and delicious dinners. If you haven’t tried David’s new menu yet, you’re in for a treat! We’ll be serving food from 12–3pm & 5–9pm (booking is advised).

With the first balmy evenings of the season arriving, there’s no better place to be than our garden, settling in with a drink as the sun goes down.  Heading to Icklegigs at the Social Club later on? Come down early for a few drinks or a bite to eat – we’re the perfect place to start your night off right.

 Sunday 24th & Monday 25th – Our First Ever Ale Festival

We’ll be serving a brilliant line-up of local craft beers and real ales from our pop-up garden bar!

Sunday – Enjoy your pint alongside a traditional Sunday roast served 12-6pm – perfect for a long, lazy Bank Holiday afternoon, knowing there’s no work the next day.

Monday – There’s plenty more to enjoy, with Indian street food from Brohmon served 12-6pm, followed by fish & chips from Ocean Tree served 5 – 8pm.  Don’t miss live music from Last Orders (4-6pm) – they went down a storm at Oktoberfest!
